A Photo Book

Posted by: mye in

Ever since I started learning about digital scrapbooking a couple of months ago, I've been wanting to personally make a digital photo book for the twins. Since I am just a beginner, I can't seem to satisfy myself with all the designs that I have created. After each layout, it seems not good and I am not happy with it.

Thankfully, Shabby Princess have piece-a-cake and album layouts which eventually made my scrapbooking experience a bit easier. I can already make a photo book even if I am just starting. And the results....

Scieszka Raine

Elysia Raine

I don't know why the picture turned out a bit blurred but nevertheless, you can still see the layout. Once done, I will already have an album for my kids...First time? Yes, I haven't even compiled their pictures yet. Terrible me...

Promise, when I can already accept my own creations, I will scrap more. ^_^

Feeding the Rabbits

Adgitize your web site.

I just can't help but make some scraps out of the pictures taken during our visit to the Ark Avilon Zoo. Not sure if it will be appreciated by other scrappers but - please let me know your thoughts so I can improve.

eika & ysha enjoying their time with the rabbits

The kids enjoyed their time with the rabbits here. As shown in my previous post, they came back for more! And the rabbits enjoyed the carrots as well.

This scrap is a combination of Harvest Spice, Sun Porch and Spontaneous Delight - all from Shabby Princess. I haven't bought any scrapping kit yet. I still have one I like but unfortunately, I can't go back to buy because I've been very busy recently not just because of the holidays but also because of the recent events I have handled and attended.

I'd appreciate your comments =)

Sweet Shoppe Designs

While checking on a friend's site, I happened to see this scrapping site which, I think will become one of my favorites. The designs are unique and absolutely beautiful! Just take a look at this one.

I will definitely come back and buy this one. I will also join the group but not now since my connection is not so good (tomorrow maybe). While writing this entry, there has been a couple of disconnections encountered before I was able to publish this post. Geesh, I definitely need to process the DSL application once again if my schedule permits (and the budget of course hahaha!)

The last two days were very very busy. Events, family matters, work (yes, even on weekends) but still thankful for I have a job!

Wait for my scrap using the above kit. I'm so excited!

the joy of scrapping

Thanks to the new camera i can now scrap again. There are a lot of pictures to choose from and I've chosen the ones below. The scraps are so simple, pardon me - I don't have much of scrapping experience yet. Please let me know on the areas I need to improve. Your comments are appreciated.

First is my daughter, Scieszka Raine. She loves to pose whenever she sees the camera. Such an adorable child. She cares about her sister a lot.

Elysia made her way on the slides. Don't know why she slided this way but she enjoyed it! Hubby capture this moment and I'm so happy I was able to turn it into this scrap. Not very creative though. Can anyone make me a new scrap out of these pictures?

ysha enjoying the slide

I used different combinations from Harvest Spice, Vintage Florals, Moody Blues, Two Soon and Sun Porch by Amy Teets from Shabby Princess. The Moody Blues though was a piece-a-cake layout so it was easier for me. The other one was - an experiment.

Let me know your thoughts....

farewell my good ol' digicam

Posted by: mye in

i've downloaded a couple of new layouts and designs for digiscraps which i'd like to try already. problem? i don't have a lot of pics for scrapping...yes - my good ol' digicam is broken. naman! i bought that when i was sent to FTL in 2003 and what year is it now? it was very very useful and now that it's broken, we really need to buy a new one.

hubby has been pondering over DLSR because he has friends who are member of our company's photography club. he said he'd really like to have one and even volunteered to be my official photographer for my events haha! i'd love that..*wink wink*

but, it's not our priority for now. we have a very important purchase this year and that one is what we are saving for.

if i'd have extra income, i might buy one...hehe...will it then be, hello DLSR?

sheeeessh..still feeling grumpy. i wonder if there will be a surprise today that will really make me happy.my daughter scieszka just woke up while i am writing this entry. she kissed me and said "i love you, anak"...yes, she calls me "anak" too! by the way, she's not my only daughter - i got twins - and elysia is the other one.. here they are...

here's another thank you to thea for teaching me scrapbooking =)

new scrapping kit

Posted by: mye in ,

i've downloaded this new kit from shabbyprincess and look what i've got. it's just unfortunate there is no single pic of my twins during this wedding where they are together...

the pictures were taking from iris' wedding last february. i can't take much picture lately because my old digicam seems to be broken already. i coordinated the event that is why i was very busy with the entire preparation and i wasn't able to take pictures of my daughters. plus, elysia fell asleep in the church and she was not in any picture during the ceremony...sheesh.

i'm checking my friends' site and most of them already use a DLSR. this is becoming really popular nowadays, huh! let's see if we'll be able to get one =)

learning to digiscrap

Posted by: mye in

do you love to scrap but worried about the expenses? yeah, scrapping is a very satisfying hobby but quite expensive too!

then, worry no more. thanks to the introduction of digital scrapbooking, one can already do digiscraps without spending too much and sometimes, it comes for free too! there are already sites that offer free downloadable themes, papers, accessories and elements for your scrapping. found one through my friend.
thea referred me to shabbyprincess. i checked and there are a lot of freebies in here. i've downloaded some so i can start with my kids baby pics...here they are:

watch out for my scraps next time...and hope you'll leave your comments, too!
